Turning Vision
Into Success

Your business was started with a purpose – a vision. By doing so, you or those who went before you chose to create income and wealth beyond what could be attained as an employee for someone else.  Personal freedom, creativity, making a difference, and leaving a legacy for children and others to carry on were most likely a part of it. No doubt, time with family, friends, and other interests were important as well.

You or those who started your business were well aware that its success depended on effective leadership.  No problem. You or early leaders knew the technical side of your business, had a strategy, working plans, and the means to reach your goals.  Achieving the vision was well within sight. Everyone was prepared for hard work, but early passion made the work seem fun and easy.

THE PROBLEM
Then reality set in – one or more of the following happened: Early assumptions were wrong; costs were higher than expected, revenues less than desired; employee enthusiasm began lagging, so did productivity and growth. Markets changed. You now find yourself spending more time and making less money than you should.  A sense of obligation is overtaking the freedoms and fun you want.

Or, perhaps high growth overcame your controls.  Conflicts arose.  Instability in finance, operations and information, organization, or sales are now holding you back from achieving your potential.  You just can’t seem to get over the latest hurdles.  Sometimes you think your business is impairing rather than enhancing your life.  You're saying, "Every day is costing me time, money and opportunity I'll never get back.  The vision is in jeopardy.  I’m stressed. What’s wrong?  How do I solve this?"

THE SOLUTION
First, take comfort these problems are fairly standard – even normal – for business leaders like you.  We see them all the time.  Whether your business is entering its second year or its second century, new challenges will always arise that you haven’t encountered before. Every business leader at times finds himself lost in the forest because all he can see are trees. It’s not a personal failure unless you fail to get help.

That's where we come in. Ratchford & Associates knows your business is unique – but we also know your issues are not.  They all fall into one or more of four categories.  We'll use this knowledge to show you how to solve these problems. Through years of experience we'll clarify, prioritize, and develop a plan that focuses you and your entire team toward winning solutions. Moreover, we can continue working with you to make it happen. We'll get you back on track, reinvigorating your vision and helping you achieve the success you want. That's our job.  It's what we do.
